Russell C. Purvis

Russell C. Purvis graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Economics, from Missouri Western State College in1989. He received his Juris Doctor in 1992 from the University of Missouri Kansas City, School of Law. Mr. Purvis is licensed to practice before the United State Supreme Court, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri, the United States District Court for the District of Kansas and all state courts of record in both Missouri and Kansas.

Mr. Purvis focuses his practice in the areas of personal injury, products liability and workers’ compensation law. He is a member of the Board of Governors for the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.

Mr. Purvis is currently the chairman of the Platte County Missouri Democratic Party Central Committee. He is also the Missouri Democratic Party Committeeman for the 34th Senatorial District. In 2002 Mr. Purvis ran as the Democratic candidate for Missouri State Representative in the 32nd District.

Mr. Purvis has previously served on the Public Investment Advisory Committee for the City of Kansas City, Missouri, the Mayor’s DUI Task Force for the City of Kansas City, Missouri and has been named as one of Kansas City’s 40 Under 40 by Ingram’s Magazine.

Mr. Purvis lives in Kansas City, Missouri with his wife Kristine and their two dogs Elvis and Haley.
